Adam C. Reed, CPCU, ASLI General Counsel PCF Insurance Services Adam currently serves as General Counsel of PCF Insurance Services, where he is responsible for delivering legal, regulatory and compliance services throughout the company. Previously, he served as Managing Principal of Reed Law Offices plc, a business minded law firm that focused on insurance legal, regulatory, compliance and enforcement matters as well as corporate transactions and counseling. Prior to that, Adam served as Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer & Corporate Secretary of Acrisure, LLC from 2016 to 2020. In this role, Adam led and coordinated the delivery of legal, compliance, regulatory and risk services throughout Acrisure. Prior to joining Acrisure, Adam served as the General Counsel of American International Group’s (AIG) $3+ billion Personal Insurance business. In this capacity, Adam was responsible for the overall lawyering of A&H, warranty, travel, homeowners, auto and other personal insurance products. Prior to this role, he served simultaneously as the Chief Regulatory Lawyer for AIG Property Casualty and as the Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of AIG’s Cat Excess Liability business unit. Adam also served as the executive sponsor of AIG’s LGBT&A Employee Resources Group and was an active participant in the firm’s pro bono and mentorship programs. Prior to rejoining AIG in 2000, Adam served as an Associate in Winston & Strawn LLP’s corporate group, where he represented large financial institutions in private equity, venture capital, and e-commerce transactions. In addition to his transactional responsibilities, Adam worked on several IP matters. Before joining Winston, Adam worked at AIG for 6+ years, where he held positions of increasing responsibility in AIG’s State Filings Department, including as the department’s manger. He also served as a lobbyist in New York during the 1999 New York State legislative session. Adam received a B.A. cum laude from Binghamton University in 1993, where he double majored in philosophy and law & society. He attended the evening division of Fordham University School of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1999. He is admitted to practice law in the States of Michigan and New York, the United States District Court (Western District of Michigan; Southern and Eastern Districts of New York), and the Supreme Court of the United States. He has also obtained the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate in Surplus Lines (ASLI) designations.
