Mike Griffin has served as a trusted advisor to insurance and reinsurance clients for almost 20 years. A former partner in the Insurance Regulatory and Transactional Practice of an international law firm, Mike provides strategic regulatory and transactional advice to domestic and international clients from all segments of the insurance and reinsurance industry, including insurance and reinsurance companies, producers, agents and brokers, third party administrators, captive insurance companies and risk retention and risk purchasing groups. He has extensive experience in assisting clients with a broad range of regulatory matters, including the formation, and licensing of insurers, reinsurers, producers and third party administrators, market conducts examinations, and multi-jurisdictional regulatory audits. Mike regularly represents clients before state insurance regulatory authorities throughout the United States. Over the course of his career, he has guided insurers, reinsurers, agents, brokers and third party administrators in purchase and sale transactions. Mike also regularly assists insurers, third party administrators and associations and other groups in the structure and regulatory considerations in the marketing and sale of group and affinity insurance programs. Mike is a member of the Federation of Regulatory Counsel, a national association of attorneys specializing in insurance regulatory law, and serves as a member of the Legislative and Regulatory Committee of the Professional Insurance Marketing Association.
